Sazka Group revenue grows
Pan-European lottery company Sazka Group posted a 6% revenue increase after it totalled first-half figures of €908 million.
Czech Republic.- The gaming industry continues to grow and many companies are taking advantage of it. That’s the case of pan-European lottery company Sazka Group, which posted improved financial results.
Sazka Group revealed its revenue improved 6% during the first half of 2019. After posting an €856 million figure last year, it grew to €908 million this one. Furthermore, it disclosed its operating EBITDA was up as well, from €230 million to €286 million.
International investment group KKCG owns the company after it took control last July. Sazka Group perceived its revenue mainly from Austria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Greece and Italy, its key markets.
Executives moving on
OPAP, the fourth-largest betting firm in Europe by revenue, has announced that Pavel Mucha will become its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The news came just a few weeks after the company announced that Michal Houst would be stepping down from his position.
Currently, Mucha is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Sazka Czech National Lottery Provider, a member of the SAZKA Group. He will succeed Houst after he leaves the company in late September.
