Sands China to invest in Venetian VIP areas
The Macau operator revealed that it will revamp the VIP gaming areas of its properties in Cotai.
Macau.- Sands China Ltd revealed in a report filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that it will revamp VIP gaming areas of its Cotai properties, Venetian Macao and Plaza Macau, which are set to be completed by 2018.
“The VIP gaming areas in the Venetian Macao will be refurbished to provide the best possible service to our VIP and premium players,” said the company, according to GGRAsia. The renovations are supposed to begin early next year and last six months, with the openings happening in June 2018. The goal is to create a new benchmark VIP gaming area in Macau, with all the associated world-class facilities and amenities, the company said. Moreover, more private gaming salons would be added at the Venetian as well.
The VIP gaming areas refurbishing at the Plaza Macau is set to be completed in February 2018, and it will create new entrances to the property and private gaming salons. The Venetial Macau hotel tower is current being refurbished and the company expects the work to be done before the Chinese New Year. “This includes all 2,841 standard hotel suites, 64 Paiza suites and associated corridors and lift lobbies. The renovation includes a complete refresh of the suites in a more contemporary style with all new furniture and fixtures,” said Sands China.
