PGCB reports September’s DFS results
The local gaming regulator reported that adjusted revenue doubled during September’s operations.
US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) released this week the September daily fantasy sports (DFS) revenue report, which, among other financial details, provides a breakdown on fees collected from Pennsylvanian players.
The PGCB report also provides details about fantasy sports contests operators’ adjusted revenue and tax revenue due to the Commonwealth. The report is the first one since the start of the National Football League (NFL) season, which impacted the revenue growth significantly. In the previous month, adjusted revenue was US$943.6k, compared to adjusted revenue of US$2.1 million registered in September.
Tax revenue is derived through a 15% assessment on the adjusted revenue reported by the Fantasy Sports Contest Operators and is deposited into the Commonwealth General Fund. This resulted in tax revenue generated during September of US$320k. Seven of the Fantasy Sports Contest Operators reported tax revenue due.
