PGCB reports October’s DFS revenue

The board revealed that adjusted revenue for DFS contests increased approximately US$800k.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) revealed on Monday the October fantasy sports contests revenue report, which provides a breakdown of fees collected from Pennsylvania participants, operators’ adjusted revenue and tax revenue collected.

The PGCB showed that fantasy adjusted revenue for October totalled US$2.9 million, approximately US$800k more than the adjusted revenue reported in September, which was US$2.1 million. Tax revenue is derived through a 15% assessment on the adjusted revenue reported by the fantasy sports contest operators and is deposited into the Commonwealth General Fund. This resulted in tax revenue generated during October of US$435k. Moreover, it was revealed that seven of the fantasy sports contest operators reported tax revenue due.

The operator with the biggest share of adjusted revenue was DraftKings, which totalled US$1.5 million, closely followed by FanDuel with US$1.2 million. The operators reported US$231k and US$187k in state tax due respectively.
