Spain’s former Codere Group has named the remaining members of its board of directors.

Spain.- The Nueva Codere group has given the final shape to its board of directors following its takeover by creditors in November.

After proposing former Ladbrokes and Hilton exec Christopher Bell as non-executive chair last month, it’s now completed the rest of the board.

It’s named Aidan de Brunner, a former Morgan Stanley executive director and Arrowglass Capital partner as an independent director and former Advent International managing director Antonio Moya-Angeler as qualifying shareholder director, a position appointed by an investor with at least 20 per cent of the business’ shares.

Moya-Angler spent over 15 years at Advent in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and France and served on its investment committee for Latin America.

Meanwhile, Grupo Codere CEO Vincente Di Loreto, will keep his place on the board as corporate director. The board is completed by directors Laurence Biver, Isabelle Lambert, Mathieu Kakal and Sandra Egan.

The board announced that its priorities will be to return Codere’s business to pre- pandemic levels and seek expansion opportunities, particulary in Spain, Mexico and online.

Nueva Codere will continue to develop an omni-channel technology platform and strategy.

Bell said: “I believe that Nueva Codere has a promising future. The capacity and experience of the management team, together with the talent of the directors who accompany me, make me very optimistic about the new phase the company is starting.”
