New NGCB chair gets appointed
Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak has appointed Sandra Douglass Morgan as new chairwoman of the NGCB.
US.- Sandra Douglass Morgan has been appointed by Governor Steve Sisolak as the new chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). She takes over the board on January 27, when current chair Becky Harris exits her position.
“Sandra Douglass Morgan will be an incredible asset to the Gaming Control Board and I am proud to be able to appoint her as chair,” Gov. Sisolak said in a statement and added: “Sandra’s extensive experience and record of leadership shows that she is not only qualified to chair the Nevada Gaming Control Board, but that she will excel at it as well.”
Becky Harris said “it was a privilege to serve Nevada in this capacity” and that she “gave(her) full effort and tried to leave the board better than (she) found it,” and also wished Douglass Morgan “every success.”
Regarding the outgoing chairwoman, Gov. Sisolak highlighted “the incredible milestone her tenure marked as the first woman chair of the board, as well as her commitment to combatting sexual harassment and discrimination in Nevada’s gaming industry.”
