Nevada’s gaming win reaches highest level of the year
The latest figures show that gaming win reached the US$1 billion mark, the highest reported in 2018.
US.- The Nevada Gaming Control Board released on Tuesday its latest report, detailing that gaming win totalled US$1.06 billion in October. The performance was driven by Clark County, which accounted for US$926.5 million of the billionaire figure.
The number registered in October was the highest state and county win of the current calendar year and marked the fifth time that it surpassed the US$1 billion mark in 2018, which is the best performance since 2008.
The report indicates that Strip win increased 12.2% to US$593.4 million when compared to October last year, which experienced bad results due to a mass shooting that took place on the first day of the month at the Mandalay Bay.
Downtown Las Vegas reported flat results for last month, with win only up by 0.3% to US$63.8 million, while the Boulder Strip’s decreased 0.6% to US$78.3 million. Laughlin’s win was up 12.1% to US$47 million.
