Microgaming and Betway enter Guinness World Records

The online bookmaker and games provider secure the biggest online jackpot payout UK.- The prestigious Guinness World Records organisation confirmed Betway and Microgaming as world record holders, following a rigorous approval process, and have been awarded the ‘largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’ ever. The € 17,879,645.12 jackpot was paid out via Microgaming’s Mega Moolah online slot on Betway.com last October, to Cheshire soldier Jon Heywood. The 26-year-old deposited £ 30 and placed just 25p bets, and the winning spin came after seven minutes.

In order to gain confirmation and to prove the legitimacy of the jackpot, Betway and software provider Microgaming submitted evidence to Guinness World Records, including ratification from online gaming authority eCOGRA.
