The casino located in the Old Line State is expected to finish a US$200 million hotel complex.
US.- Maryland Live! Casino is expected to raise and place the final steel beam onto the upcoming US$200 million hotel complex today. The project that started in September 2016 is expected to boost the facility’s operations next year.
According to the casino, the ceremony that will take place this morning will put a 23-foot steel beam onto the 17th story of the building and will become the tallest building in the Anne Arundel County. The 310-room hotel tower is set to include a concert venue, new shopping and dining options as well as a meeting space and a fitness center, among other things. Moreover, it will include 1000 additional parking spaces.
The casino-hotel complex will be rebranded as Live! Casino & Hotel once it is completed and launches operations. This project is the biggest investment for the casino that opened its doors in June 2012. Cordish Companies, the current owner of the facility, announced the expansion in June 2016, a few months before the opening of the US$1.4 billion MGM National Harbor that managed to steal the first spot as top scorer in the state from Maryland Live!.
