Malta strikes down three IGaming licences

The MGA has cancelled Bet Service Group’s and World-of-bets.eu’s licences and suspended Betixx for an undetermined period of time.

Malta.- The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has announced the cancellation of two licences, Bet Service Group’s and World-of-bets.eu’s and the suspension of Betixx’ indeterminately. The gaming regulator hasn’t disclosed further details about its decision but has urged both cancelled operators to post notice on their websites.

Both Bet Service Group, which operates Gamenet, and World-of-bets.eu have been told to publish a notice on their main website and all affiliated sites that its licence has been cancelled. The sports betting operator has also been ordered to stop all operations with immediate effect.

Bettix, however, only had its licence suspended, which is why it was ordered to submit data and documentation to assist with MGA’s investigation.

Still, the regulator demanded the company to stop all gaming operations, including taking in new customers or deposits.

The MGA has also advised customers to contact them for information on any outstanding payments from any of the three affected operators.
