Maharaja Casino to begin operations

The sixth gaming venue on the Mandovi River in Goa – the Maharaja Casino – could open February 10th.

India.- The Captain of Ports has already inspected the jetty allotted to Golden Globe Hotels Pvt Ltd and will soon complete an inspection of facilities onboard the vessel that will host the Maharaja Casino. The company has advanced that, if everything develops smoothly, February 10 is the designated date for the venue to start operating.

Golden Glove received authorisation to operate the sixth off-coast casino in Goa and took over the Maharajah casino on a lease agreement. The MV San Domino vessel is currently under repair and – despite taking longer than expected to complete – the company has already set the inauguration day. However, the MV Lucky Seven has been brought to Goa in order to receive repairs and will eventually replace the MV San Domino once it receives certification as a safe ship.

The High Court of Bombay at Goa has already asked the State government to assign Golden Globe a location at the pier, and the necessary documents and orders have already been completed. We can therefore expect the sixth Goa casino to be up and running soon.
