Lottoland to improve marketing campaigns

The company has committed to improve its marketing campaigns after ASA received complaints.

UK.- Lottoland has released a statement in which it vows to improve its marketing campaigns in order to adjust the accuracy of them. This comes after UK’s advertising regulator received a complaint over one of the company’s ads last year.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) had received a complaint last year in which Lottoland’s PowerBall payout was questioned, as it said that the £169 million was unobtainable due to compulsory deductions. The complaint challenged the ad’s veracity and said that it could be misleading. ASA ended up agreeing and ruled that Lottoland’s ad could not appear again in that way.

Nigel Birrell, CEO of Lottoland, said: “Lottoland accepts the Advertising Standards Agency’s (ASA), findings and has already added more information to the website to further clarify the deductions on the Powerball jackpot. Lottoland volunteered to make changes to the website as soon as this issue was raised as we are committed to being fully open and transparent with our customers.”
