Indian leader urges govt to stop lottery tickets

The wing leader asked the government to stop its move to launch lottery tickets in the Union Territory.

India.- All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam legislature wing leader A. Anbalagan has reportedly asked the government to stop its initiative to launch lottery tickets in the Union Territory, which is a federal territory ruled directly by the central government.

The wing leader addressed the lottery tickets during a press conference that took place earlier this week, and he said that a committee had been formed under the Chief Secretary to introduce lottery tickets after a cabinet decision, The Hindu revealed.

Lottery has been banned in the country since the government decided to do so in 1980, but a new proposal has been subject to debate to introduce the modality in the country again. Anbalagan also urged the Lt. Governor to stop interfering in administrative matters and make her stance on the subject clear.
