Illegal gambling ring raided in Vietnam

Police officers arrested more than 100 gamblers and seized a dozen of cars in the premises.

Vietnam.- On Saturday, Quang Ninh’s police raided a 100 member illegal casino in the Vietnamese province of Quang Ninh. The illicit gambling den was among the biggest ones in the province.

Police officers took the train, as the illegal gambling facility was located close to the station and raided the premises around 1:30 pm.

According to the authorities, over a hundred gamblers and members of the ring were caught in fraganti with a lot of cash, although the exact amount is still unknown. The gamblers come from nearby localities such as  Hai Phong, Hanoi, Hai Duong and Bac Ninh.

Last August, Quang Ninh police burst another illegal gambling ring, seizing more than 70 gamblers in the process and capturing the ring operator, who is an infamous gang leader in the area.
