GLI proclaims a triumphant BgC

Brazil could be an excellent market for the future world-class testing and certifications GLI offers.

Brazil.- Whilst two ministers of the interim president of Brazil Michel Temer have backed the further legalisation of the gaming industry in the South American country, renowned casino brands, such as Gaming Laboratories International –GLI– took a step forward to enhance their position in the expected market.

GLItook part in the second Brasilian Gaming Congress –BgC–, organised by famous Clarion Events, with the purpose of creating a profitable network to lay the groundwork for the Brazilian legal industry. GLI’s Director of Latin America and Caribbean Government Relations and Business Development, Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes had the honour of speaking on one of the event’s discussion panels, “Taking the Legalised Debate to the Next Level: Addressing the Key Challenges in the Legalisation of Games in Brazil and Highlighting the Solutions.”

About the BgC’s results, Sierra-Hughes pointed out: “The Brasilian Gaming Congress was a wonderful event to attend because it gave attendees unique insights into the current state of the debate on the legalisation of gaming and market potential in Brazil, and it was an honour to share GLI’s perspective on the legalisation of games in Brazil alongside my fellow panelists. It also provided Brazilian legislators and government entities, who were widely represented at the conference, crucial information on the global gaming industry’s best practices they can consider on their path to draft the future gaming legislation for Brazil. The topics covered at this year’s event were extremely appropriate.”
