Dynasty investor determined to take over CNMI casino

Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino’s investor is interested in taking over the troubled Northern Marianas resort with the aim of reopening it before the end of the year.

Northern Marianas.- Tinian Mayor Joey San Nicolas, one of the investors of Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino wants to take over the troubled Northern Marianas resort and reopen it before the end of the year.

After a meeting with Chinese Strategic Holdings executives during a recent trip to Macau, Tinian Mayor Joey San Nicolas says the company is finalising negotiations for taking over the resort.

Mega Stars Overseas and Hong Kong Entertainment own Dynasty and have borrowed money from Chinese Strategic. Now, Chinese Strategic wants to turn that loan into equity to buy Dynasty.

Tinian Dynasty’s casino operations were shut down in September 2015, whilst the hotel has been closed since March.
