Gaming Commission gets new head in Massachusetts

Governor Charlie Baker has appointed Cathy Judd-Stein as the new head of the state’s Gaming Commission.

US.- The new year is here and many changes have already been announced around the gaming indutry, while many are yet to come. Amid this period of change, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has named Cathy Judd Stein as the new head of the state’s Gaming Commission (MGC).

Ms Judd-Stein will take over the MGC as she replaces former chairman Stephen Crosby, who resigned back in September. He decided to step aside amid claims of bias (which he denied) in the MGC investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations against Steve Wynn, who parted ways with his former company, Wynn Resorts.

The new chairwoman of the MGC had served as deputy chief legal counsel for Gov. Baker since he took office in 2015 and as a legal adviser to five other Massachusetts governors. She’s was also an executive director of Democratic Gov. Deval Patrick’s Judicial Nominating Commission and general counsel for the Massachusetts State Treasury.
