Chinook Winds Casino reopening postponed
The Oregon casino´s closure has been extended until September 2.
US.- The reopening of Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City, Oregon, has been delayed due to concerns about the Delta variant of Covid-19. The casino was expected to reopen today (Thursday) after a two-week closure.
In a statement, the casino said the temporary closure has been extended by one more week until at least September 2. The shutdown applies to the gaming floors, hotel, restaurants and the golf course.
The casino said: “In the interest of public health and safety, in the face of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, the Siletz Tribal Council and the Chinook Winds Senior Executive team announces the closure of Chinook Winds Casino, Hotel and Golf course operations effective 6pm Thursday, August 12, 2021, with a goal of reopening September 2, 2021.”
All reservations have been cancelled and Chinook Winds will refund all room fees and entertainment tickets.
