Canada, bigger than the US in online gaming

A new report establishes that the Canadian gambling industry is worth US$15 billion annually.

Canada.- According to a report by the Canadian Gaming Association, despite being a much newer market, online gaming in Canada is ahead of the United States. Canada currently offers more services than the US.

The Canadian Gaming Association reported that the gambling industry in the country is worth US$15 billion, VGTs, lottery and casinos being the markets that contribute the most to that revenue. The report shows than 10 percent of adults choose online gambling for real money. According to CardPlayer, local citizens have accepted the benefits of the industry because the gambling laws are more relaxed than other countries.

The North American country currently offers online poker, sports betting, blackjack and slots among other things, whilst the selected online gaming activities in the United States are limited to a few states, such as Nevada and Delaware.
