Japan.- Yokohama City has received a record number of public comments on its plans to build an Integrated Resort.

Japan’s second largest city accepted comments for one month from March 6 regarding for the city’s IR bid.

Yokohama said it received feedback from 5,071 people regarding the casino resort, which far exceeded the previous record of 4,715 public comments on its ‘Long-term Vision Plan’ back in 2006.

Last Friday (April 16), Yokohama Mayor, Fumiko Hayashi announced that the schedule for the IR bid would be delayed by two months due to the spread of Coronavirus in Japan.

At the time, he said: “Considering the spread of Coronavirus, we should concentrate on the things which are most important.”
