NagaCorp reports revenue of US$$878.7m for 2020

NagaCorp delivered stable financial results for 2020 despite the temporary closure of its casino operations in Cambodia due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cambodia.- Casino operator and developer NagaCorp has reported Gross Gaming Revenue of US$878.7m for the year 2020, against US$1.8bn recorded in 2019.

The casino operator also reported a net profit of US$102.3m and a gross profit of US$427m, compared to US$846.3m the previous year.

NagaCorp faced a temporary closure of its Cambodian property for over three months and a reduced level of tourist visits throughout the year. However, the company expects 2021 to be better after the country’s creation of travel bubbles and the start of Covid-19 vaccination programmes.

NagaCorp said it had seen an increase in gross gaming revenue from the premium mass segment during the fourth quarter of 2020.

NagaWorld reported a 99.4 per cent increase in average daily mass table game buy-ins during the first quarter of 2021 compared to the first quarter of 2020.

However, the casino complex in Cambodia’s capital remains closed since February after 11 staff members tested positive during mass testing.
