Kangwon Land granted more tables and extended hours
Under the new measures, opening hours will be increased from 18 hours per day to 20 hours with an extra 20 gaming tables.
South Korea.- South Korea’s only casino for locals to legally gamble, Kangwon Land, has been granted more tables and extended opening hours by the government.
The country’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will allow the casino to make the changes once its mass gaming floor reopens following the Covid-19 outbreak.
Kangwon Land resumed operations on May 8, but only its VIP floor and not its main gaming floor.
Under the new measures, opening hours will be increased from 18 hours per day to 20 hours.
They have also been permitted add an extra 20 tables, going from 160 to 180 tables.
Kangwon Land said in a statement: “The operating plan due to the changed business hours and the increase in the number of general business tables will be discussed separately with the Ministry of Education.”
