Macau.- The National Immigration Administration of China has announced that Guangdong Province will restart issuing individual and group travel visas as of August 26.
The announcement came after authorities said that Zhuhai residents will be able to travel to Macau under the Individual Visit Scheme (IVS) from August 12.
According to MNA, the IVS will be available to all Mainland China residents from September 23.
Residents from areas considered high risk for Covid-19 will not be granted visas.
Individual and group visas are the most commonly used travel permits by Macau casino guests. The schemes have been suspended since January due to the pandemic.
Greater China accounts for more than 90 per cent of Macau’s tourists.
