Coronavirus: Galaxy provides sanitation assistance
The company is working with Rentokil Initial to provide sanitation support to organisations in Macau.
Macau.- Galaxy Entertainment Group has ramped up its efforts to help organisations in Macau fight the Coronavirus outbreak by assisting with cleaning and sanitisation.
The gaming operator has already donated MOP 25 million (€2.8 million) to Macau and Hubei Province and subscribed to HK$100 million worth of special social bonds issued by the Bank of China Macau Branch with the proceeds being diverted to local SMEs.
According to Inside Asian Gaming, the company has revealed it has been working with global hygiene experts Rentokil Initial to conduct high-efficient air sanitisation at local social service organisations.
“GEG hopes to make a contribution to the prevention and relief efforts through the disinfection, provide a safe and clean environment for the service users of our community partners, and curb the epidemic within the community,” the company said in a statement.
The operator has already supported the Kai Hong Centre and Kai Lung Centre of the Macau Association for The Mentally Handicapped.
It now plans to extend its sanitisation offering to additional social service organisations including the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind of Macau Holy House of Mercy, the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau, Fuhong Society of Macau, Escola Caritas de Macau, the Association of Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers of Macau, the Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office and the Richmond Fellowship of Macau.
