View Royal Casino moves forward with renovations

View Royal Casino, a Canadian gaming center, would finish its first phase of renovations and be reopened by December, 2017.

Canada.- Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is renovating its View Royal Casino, located at the city of Victoria, British Columbia. As the revamp project is advancing, the company expects the first phase to be completed by December 2017. The casino was partly demolished last month in order to allow the expansion of the venue.

“Everybody’s excited about the end result,” commented to the Canadian media Chris Lynn, Vancouver Island Executive Director for Great Canadian Gaming Corporation. “Sometimes the inconvenience of not having all of the amenities that they are used comes to the forefront but I think everybody has been pretty understanding and is super-excited about what we’re going to become.”

Currently, the casino is still operating but the restaurant, the lounge and part of gaming salons were demolished. Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is investing US$11.2 million on the renovation project, which would add space for entertaining platforms, larger casino floors and innovative technology.

The renovated View Royal Casino in Victoria would also offer a 150-seat buffet and lounge area as well as a new 20-seat quick-service restaurant. “Our goal is to be the best in live and local entertainment in Victoria and have something for everyone,” explained the Executive Director for Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.
