(Exclusive interview).- Eduardo Aching, Vice President of International Sales at Konami, shared with Focus Gaming News the company’s expectations.

Konami is ready to introduce to the gaming industry the most expanded hardware collection in the history of the company during the Global Gaming Expo 2016 in Las Vegas. In a conversation with Eduardo Aching, Focus Gaming News acceded to latest Konami’s plans.

You’ve recently announced your G2E lineup, how are the preparations developing?

We’re preparing for a rush of new diversity at the Konami booth this year during G2E. Last year the debut of our Concerto standard upright cabinet was the launching point for outstanding global reception and performance. Now we’re set to expand its proven success to a complete lineup of Concerto video slots. This year is possibly the biggest hardware release in our history and we can’t wait to show our customers the spectrum of diverse new machines Konami has to offer.

About the releases and the comments of VP Marketing Matt Repack, who recently said that Konami is bringing unprecedented new product segments, game cabinets, and showcase technology solutions to G2E 2016. Can you tell us a bit more about your new products?

One of the biggest changes to the Konami booth is the introduction of our Concerto collection of core video slots. We’re taking the technology of our proven Concerto machine and expanding it to a complete cabinet lineup. Primary elements such as the sleek black finish and signature holographic attract lighting will take-on new form with Concerto Slant, Concerto SeleXion multi-game, Concerto Crescent single curved screen, and Concerto Stack single tall screen. Although you’ll be seeing all these for the first time, these new machines will have clear visual compliment to the standard upright cabinet that is attracting player attention and generating retention at casinos across the globe.

Beyond that we have never-before-seen skill-based concepts and multi-station products that leverage our combined digital and mechanical engineering power through our parent company in Japan. Not to mention, we’ll have iGaming, systems technology and far more. Konami is expanding and diversifying all areas of its business to anticipate evolving market needs and pioneer next generation product.

What is the biggest difference between G2E and other similar events and how does that difference impact in your business? 

G2E Las Vegas is our largest event of the year. Thousands of gaming professionals walk through the Konami booth, and we enjoy meeting with so many fantastic operators from around the world to show them our very latest products to help power their business. For some, it’s the only time of the year they get to explore our complete offering first-hand. So we’re focused on delivering our best to make sure our customers can experience the power and detail of Konami’s top new releases, and empower them to get the most from every available space on their casino floor.

What are you expectations about this new edition of G2E?

As a top global supplier in casino slots and technology, Konami annually commands a central presence at the show. However for this year in particular, we have greater diversity and new development than any other G2E to date, so we’re expecting incredible excitement. There will be so much to see, yet at the same time, everything will universally reinforce the quality and unique creativity that Konami is known for.

What markets are you currently trying to reach?

With the recent expansion of our global headquarters in Las Vegas, we’re fully equipped to support the global market with the latest games and technology. Konami’s diverse game types, play mechanics, and technology provide operators across a variety of jurisdictions the flexibility to optimize their floor to best reach their unique market audience.

Year after year Konami has shown a sustained and significant growth. What will be the biggest challenge for 2017?

For the coming year, we’re thrilled to offer a strong diversity of new product we can’t wait to introduce to our customers and casino players worldwide. With everything from our industry-leading multi-game machine to stand-out premium game releases, we’re confident in what we can bring to the market and look forward to showcasing our very latest during this year’s G2E show.
