Table games revenue increases in Pennsylvania

The state regulator showed that revenue increased 4.75% over the same period last year.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) is completing its January financial reports and this time it published the table games figures, which indicate that revenue rose approximately 4.75% when compared to the same period last year.

The report details that table games revenue for January 2019 was US$74.4 million, an increase of 4.75% over January of last year when revenue was US$71 million. The Board also reported that when combining January’s table games revenue with the earlier reported increase in January’s slot machine revenue, total gaming revenue increased by 2% compared to January of last year.

Moreover, it was detailed the tax revenue from table games play during January in which the total amount was US$11.9 million with an average of 1,279 tables in daily operation statewide.

Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem was the facility that reported the biggest amount of revenue (US$18 million) but it experienced a 0.5% decrease when compared to January 2018. Part Casino, SugarHouse Casino and Rivers Casino reported good results in January, but the biggest change in revenues was experienced by The Meadows Casino, which saw an increase of 148.6% to US$3.7 million, up from the US$1.5 million registered a year before. The other 8 facilities experienced decreases in revenues in January 2019.

The total gaming revenue for January 2019 reached the US$254.2 million mark, up 2.1% from January 2018’s US$248.8 million. Part Casino totaled US$49.5 million, or an 8.5% change from last year’s results. Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem was the second top scorer in the state as it collected US$39.3 million but experienced a 4.2% fall, while Rivers Casino completes the list with US$30.3 million in total gaming revenue and a 12.7% increase over the same period in 2018.
