PGCB reports August’s DFS revenue
The gaming control board reported that tax revenue generated last month totalled US$943k.
US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) posted on Tuesday the August results for fantasy sports (DFS) contests in the state. The gaming authority said that seven of the DFS operators reported tax revenue due.
The report provides a breakdown of fees collected from the play of Pennsylvania participants, DFS operators adjusted revenue, and tax revenue due to the Commonwealth. Tax revenue is derived through a 15% assessment on adjusted revenue reported by the operators, and is deposited into the Commonwealth General Fund, the PGCB said.
In total, tax revenue generated during last month’s operations totalled US$943k, DraftKings being the one with the biggest share of revenue with US$502k, closely followed by FanDuel with US$424k. The third position was taken by DRAFT, which took US$10k and reported state tax due of US$1.6k.
