PAGCOR changes licensing executive

Angeline Papica-Etienza has been named as new head of the company’s gaming licensing arm to replace Ramon Villaflor.

Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor) has named Angeline Papica-Entienza as head of the Pagcor Gaming Licensing and Development Department and assistant vice-president of the corporation. The regulatory body revealed the new appointment next to several other hirings for other positions in the same area.

Ms Papica-Entienza will replace Ramon Villaflor and is only one of several changes in the Philippine regulator’s organization chart. Rowena Alcaide will replace Dave Sevilla as senior manager of the Pagcor Casino Licensing and Regulatory Unit, Angelie Agustin will replace Luis Dela Concepcion as senior manager of the Pagcor Responsible Gaming and Logistics Unit and Jeremy Luglug will replace Maria Perpetua Flor as acting senior manager of the Pagcor Remote Gaming Unit.

Changes to the licensing department follow a controversial provisional licence awarded to Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd to develop a casino resort in Boracay. However, President Rodrigo Duterte said that no casinos whatsoever would be allowed on the holiday island as it has just been cleaned up and is set to be preserved.
