Jake’s 58 adds final set of VLTs

After a first quarter opening, the Long Island casino Jake’s 58 added the final set of video lottery terminals.

US.- New York’s Jake’s 58, formerly known as Islandia Casino, announced that it added 723 more video lottery terminals (VLTs) and completed the 1000 that were established before the opening.

With the newest addition Jake’s 59 is fully opening and functional, becoming one of the best facilities for the three million population that live in Long Island. As Totally Gaming reported, the opening of the third phase of the hotel and casino follows the May 1 opening of a second phase with 427 VLTs and 64 seats at ETGs.

Brian Hansberry, president of Delaware North, the company that operates the casino, told the news outlet: “Renovating an existing hotel to accommodate a significant casino gaming operation such as we have done here at Jake’s 58 on Long Island is yet another example of Delaware North’s ability to innovate to grow its gaming business.”

Suffolk County OTB said that Islandia Casino, the first video lottery casino in the area, could help them overcome bankruptcy and save the company if they meet their current goals.
