Holland Casino closes venues until January
The state-owned operator has been forced to close casinos again as the government tightens Covid-19 measures for Christmas.
The Netherlands.- Holland Casino’s 14 venues will remain shut until January 19 as the Netherlands tightens Covid-19 restrictions over the festive period.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has ordered non-essential businesses to close for another five weeks over Christmas and New Year.
It’s the third time that venues have been forced to close due to the pandemic. It follows previous lockdowns from mid-March to July 1 and from November 1 to 18.
Since September casinos have also been subject to curfews when allowed to open.
Holland Casino has been hit particularly hard since the state-owned operator has no online operations, with online gaming in Holland due to be regulated from next year.
