Dynasty casino to be reopened

Operators of Dynasty hotel and casino Tinian Entertainment Corp. revealed intentions of reopening the venue.

Northern Mariana Islands.- Gaming Tinian Entertainment Corporation announced this week that the Northern Mariana Islands’ resort and casino Dynasty could be reopened within the following months. According to the casino operators, the gaming and touristic venue could be boosted by the recent inauguration of Tinian International Airport in the region.

The announcement was made by the principal owner of Tinian Entertainment Corporation, Tim Chen. The entrepreneur revealed the information during the inauguration event of the local airport, which is operated by the company as well. According to Chen, the Tinian company directors held a meeting on Friday afternoon after the opening ceremony.

“I am willing to invest and that’s why I hired a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. to help me resolve this FinCen issue,” Chen commented, as published by the local press. Chen also said that the “Dynasty’s $75 million obligation to FinCen, imposed for the fine for HKE’s failure to implement an anti-money-laundering program,” was preventing him from opening the venue right away.
