Century Casinos completes acquisition of 50% of Nugget Casino property
The company has finished the purchase of a 50 per cent ownership interest in Smooth Bourbon.
US.- Century Casinos has finished the purchase of a 50 per cent ownership interest in Smooth Bourbon from Marnell Gaming for $95m. Smooth Bourbon owns the land and building underlying the Nugget Casino in Nevada. It will enter into a lease agreement with annual rent of $15m.
In February, Century detailed a definitive agreement that would see the group purchase 50 per cent of Smooth Bourbon as well as Nevada’s Nugget Casino Resort. It will have a five-year option to purchase the remaining 50 per cent of the Marnell Gaming subsidiary for $105m, plus two per cent per annum.
Located in Sparks, Nevada, Nugget Casino Resort is full-service resort with a gaming floor featuring 50,200sq ft of casino space, 859 slot machines and 29 table games. It also includes two hotel towers, a convention space, an amphitheatre and restaurants.
Century Casinos runs casino hotels in Colorado, Missouri, and West Virginia. It also owns and operates facilities in the Canadian province of Alberta.
