Taiwan introduces lottery changes to push cloud receipts
The Taiwanese Government will increase the number of lottery winners and introduce a new NT$800 (US$28.10) prize.
Taiwan.- The Taiwanese Government will introduce changes to the island’s lottery in order to incentivise customers to ask for cloud receipts.
The Ministry of Finance has reported that 31.6 per cent of all electronic receipts were cloud receipts in 2020 and wants to increase this figure to 38 per cent in 2021.
To try to achieve this, the government has increased the numbers of winners for prizes available only to holders of cloud receipts from 15 to 30 for the March-April lottery.
It will also increase the number of prizes and introduce a new NT$800 (US$28.10) prize exclusive for cloud receipts holders.
