Sands China donates 500,000 face masks to fight against Coronavirus
The company has already donated MOP25 million (€2.8 million) to Coronavirus relief efforts.
Macau.- Sands China Ltd has announced it is donating 500,000 medical face masks to the Macau government as part of the company’s pledge to support efforts to combat Coronavirus.
The company has delivered the first batch of 300,000 masks to Macau Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ao Ieong U, at The Parisian Macao.
“As a company rooted in Macau, Sands China considers it as part of our corporate social responsibility to continually look out for the wellbeing of the Macau community and to assist in periods of need,” Sands China President, Dr Wilfred Wong, said.
“Our thoughts are with the entire local community during this time of caution, and our company is pleased to be able to respond to the urgent need for face masks in Macau as we cooperate with the Macau government in its virus prevention efforts. We are confident that, with vigilance and collective action, Macau will navigate through this crisis successfully.”
Sand China has already donated MOP25 million (€2.8 million) to help address the current public health challenges caused by the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
