Russian casino Shambhala to create 500 jobs
The opening of the new casino in the Primorye area is expected to create 500 new jobs.
Russia.- A new casino due to open in the Primorye Gambling Zone near Vladivostok, Russia, is expected to create 500 new jobs by the end of 2020.
According to the Far East Agency for Attracting Investments and Export Support (ANO API), the launch of Shambhala casino will boost employment, with the recruitment of 200 people next month, and ultimately another 300 by the end of the year.
Among the recruitments, 150 staff members are expected to arrive to work in Vladivostok from other regions in Russia.
The First Vice Governor of Primorsky Territory, Vera Shcherbina, has recently said the launch of the casino will double tax revenue to around RUB200 million (US$2.72 million), rising to RUB2.5 billion (US$34 million) by 2025.
Shambhala will be the second major casino operation to open in the region following the launch of Tigre de Cristal in 2015. NagaCorp and Diamond Fortune are also involved in ongoing developments.
