Online IR symposium to be held in Yokohama
The Yokohama IR symposium will offer perspectives on how Japan’s tourism, IR and entertainment sectors will help the post-Covid recovery.
Japan.- As it continues to try to win public approval of its integrated resort plans, the City of Yokohama will hold an online event on Saturday March 27 to present the benefits of the project.
Named Goals for a Yokohama Innovation IR, the symposium will invite panelists to present their opinions on how the IR development would benefit the city in terms of economy and tourism.
One of the speakers will be Keio University Professor Hiroyuki Kishi, who recently stated in an interview that Yokohama’s IR development could help the city’s economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Deputy mayor Toshihide Hirahara said: “I believe that this will be one of the sparks needed for economic recovery after coronavirus.”
