Okada Manila GGR down in January
Casino operators sees revenues dip slightly in the first month of the year but enjoyed a major uptick in EBITDA.
Philippines.- Okada Manila has revealed a slight decrease in January gross gaming revenue (GGR) but enjoyed a significant YoY increase in EBITDA for the same period.
January GGR hit PHP3.83 billion (€69 million) only slightly down on the same period last year when it reached PHP3.84 billion.
A more substantial month on month decrease was recorded, however, with December 2019 GGR topping PHP4.63 billion (€83.9 million).
There were some upsides to the results; January EBITDA improved by about 20 percent to PHP781 million (€14 million).
The figures revealed that it was the VIP segment which negatively impacted on overall performance.
The company decided not to comment on the results.
