Casino operator sees GGR jump 38 per cent year on year to PHP3.3 billion (€57.4 million).
Philippines.- Okada Manila recorded strong financial results in February, with GGR totalling PHP3.3 billion (€57.4 million).
While this was down on the figures reported for January, the numbers represent a 38 per cent year on year increase.
Adjusted EBITDA was PHP536 million (€9.34 million), a year-on-year rise of 48 per cent.
The news come after the company announced it had implemented measures to help combat the spread of Coronavirus.
“We are now implementing ‘no-standing and four players only’ in all of our gaming tables. We also have the ‘one seat apart’ policy in our slot machines. Electronic Gaming Machines across the gaming floor will be sanitized every two hours. Additional hand sanitizers are available in key locations in our gaming area and we frequently sanitize our slot machines”, Senior Vice-President for Premium Marketing, Shirley Tam, said.
Okada Manila Chief Operations Officer Byron Yip added: “The safety and well-being of our patrons is our topmost priority. This is why we are implementing these additional measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to our Integrated Resort.”
