Operator lays off staff as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the forced casino closure in the country.
Philippines.- Okada Manila is to lay off more than one thousand employees, citing the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic as the cause of the mass cuts.
Okada Manila and other gambling venues in the country have been closed since March, with no date yet for when they may be able to reopen their doors to the public.
According to Inside Asian Gaming, the casino will officially notify employees on June 15, all of whom will receive separation pay in accordance with Philippines law.
