The casino complex has closed its doors after two workers tested positive for Covid-19.

Singapore.- The casino resort Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has temporarily closed its doors after two workers tested positive for Covid-19.

Marina Bay Sands said in a statement that it has started deep cleaning. It has not given a date for reopening, but said it will review measures taken by June 13. The hotel will continue to receive bookings for up to two people per room.

The two Marina Bay Sands workers who tested positive were both casino dealers; a 36-year-old man from Malaysia and a 35-year-old man from Singapore.

Singapore’s Ministry of Health has reported 21 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and 549 active cases.

The country has delayed the launch of a travel bubble with Hong Kong due to a rise in Covid-19 cases in the last few weeks.
