Malaysia.- While Malaysia has announced it will fully reopen its borders to international travellers from April 1, it’s now confirmed an opening for fully vaccinated visitors from Singapore, Cambodia and Thailand from March 15.

The Malaysia-Thailand air service will allow certain airlines to operate up to six flights a day between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. Authorities in Malaysia said more routes could be added “subject to mutual agreement between the two countries”.

The deal with Cambodia means certain airlines from each country will be allowed to operate up to two daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh. Additional routes could be added, “according to market demand”.

In addition, the ministry of transport said that the country will increase the daily quota of vaccinated people crossing from Singapore by nearly 60 per cent from 2,160 to 3,420.
