Macau: first Coronavirus case fully recovered
First person diagnosed with Coronavirus in Macau has been discharged from hospital with a clean bill of health.
Macau.- Health authorities have announced that the first patient diagnosed withCoronavirus in Macau has fully recovered and has been discharged from hospital.
The patient, a 52-year-old Wuhan resident, took the high-speed rail from the Hubei Province capital to Zhuhai, then entered Macau on January 19 via the Gongbei Border.
She was admitted to the Conde S. Januario Hospital on January 21 with a cough and later became the first Coronavirus case confirmed in Macau.
“After half a month of intensive treatment and intensive care by the medical team of Conde S. Januario Hospital, the patient’s condition continued to improve, all laboratory indicators were normal, and both pathogenic tests were negative. She departed in the afternoon under police escort,” authorities said in a statement.
According to the Health Bureau, Lei Chin Ion, after treatment the woman underwent two tests that showed negative results for the virus and was discharged after following requirements set by the Chinese National Health Commission.
There are still nine confirmed cCoronavirus patients receiving health care in Macau, six of which are Hubei residents and three of which are Macau residents.
