Jeju Dream Tower expected to open in October
Opening of the new casino resort will on Jeju Island, South Korea, is expected to go ahead despite the pandemic.
South Korea.- Jeju Island’s latest casino resort, Jeju Dream Tower, will open in October despite uncertainty due to the pandemic, tour operator Lotte Tour says.
While Jeju Island is a semi autonomous area in South Korea, the project still needs the approval of local authorities, including a social impact evaluation on the casino’s activities. This evaluation is legally required in cases where an existing Jeju casino operator wishes to expand gaming operations by more than two times.
Construction work on Jeju Dream Tower began in May 2016. It is expected to be the tallest building on Jeju, with 38 floors. The hotel will be operated by Grand Hyatt firm.
