South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure has seen revenues increase in Q1 despite the global Covid-19 pandemic.

The company, which operates three foreigner-only casinos under the Seven Luck brand, posted a 68 per cent rise net income compared to last year.

First quarter profits were US$12.1million, significantly higher than the US$7.16million recorded the year before.

Grand Korea Leisure’s sales increased by 2.1 per year on year, reaching US$9.43million.

Two Seven Luck casinos are in the country’s capital Seoul, while the third is in the city of Busan.

All three properties saw their combined revenue drop dramatically in March, where take was 72 per cent lower year-on-year.

Grand Korea Leisure has only just begun opening its doors to the public after being closed from the end of March.
