Crown Resorts has confirmed that Covid-19 vaccination is now required to enter its venues in NSW and Victoria.

Australia.- Crown Resorts has announced that after consultation with employees, unions, industry and business organisations it has decided that it will require Covid-19 vaccination to enter its venues.

The measure applies to all employees, customers and contractors at Crown Sydney and Crown Melbourne immediately, Crown Perth will have until January 31 to implement the Policy in line with Western Australian Public Health Directions.

Steve McCann, Crown Resorts and Crown Melbourne CEO, said the measure was necessary to limit the potential spread of Covid-19 at any of its resorts.

He said: “From the start of the pandemic, we have promised our employees that we will always put their health and wellbeing first. This Policy is consistent with that – and consistent with our responsibility to care for not only our employees, but our guests, our partners and our investors interests.”

The company said that employees that are already vaccinated or are currently stood-down, will receive an AU$50 gift voucher. Crown is now driving an extensive vaccine awareness and uptake campaign across all its properties.

In September, the casino operator announced customers may need to register their vaccination status via a QR code before they can enter Crown venues.
