Crown Perth closed in new Covid-19 lockdown

The Australian city of Perth has begun a snap five-day lockdown that affects the Crown Resorts complex.

Australia.- Crown Perth, the only casino in Western Australia, will close until the evening of February 5 under a snap lockdown called in Perth. Hotel accommodation will remain open at a reduced capacity.

Mark McGowan, the Premier of Western Australia, has ordered people must stay at home, except for essential work, healthcare, food shopping or exercise after a security guard working at a quarantine hotel tested positive for Covid-19.

The state had not seen a locally acquired case of Covid-19 for 10 months.

Crown Perth had was forced to closed its doors in March last year when the pandemic began.
