Casino workers could face round of Covid-19 tests
In August, 53,000 people were tested before borders were fully reopened to tourists from mainland China.
Macau.- Workers at casinos and gaming companies in Macau could have to endure a new round of nucleic acid Covid-19 tests, the local health authorities have confirmed.
In August, over 53,000 frontline workers, including croupiers and security agents, were tested before the city’s borders were reopened to visitors from mainland China.
Now the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre believes the measures could be repeated, even though Macau has gone 115 days without any community transmitted cases being reported.
According to the authorities, since more residents have become aware of the importance of health prevention, about 50,000 have been vaccinated against the flu.
