Cambodia: Bavet casinos close as Covid-19 cases rise
The Cambodian city of Bavet has imposed a lockdown for 14 days after the province recorded 304 cases of Covid-19.
Cambodia.- Bavet governor Men Vibol has imposed a new lockdown for at least two weeks due to a rise in Covid-19 cases.
Several casinos, including New World Casino, Good Luck Casino, Bavet-Mok Bay International Entertainment and the Emperor Company have been affected by the countermeasure.
Restrictions include travel controls and the prohibition of any activity that would breach social distancing guidelines. People must wear masks and maintain social and physical distancing.
Cambodia’s capital city of Phnom Penh has introduced a curfew due to rising cases of Covid-19. The measure was originally planned to last until April 14 but has been extended for two more weeks.
The Ministry of Health reported 304 cases with 230 of them active as of April 19.
