Crown Barangaroo to open ahead of schedule

The multi-billion dollar development will open its doors this coming Christmas, three months ahead of schedule.

Australia.- Crown Barangaroo, the new development from Crown Resorts Sydney, is on track to open three months ahead of schedule. According to Crown Resorts founder, James Packer, it will be opening its doors for the first time for Christmas this year.

Packer talked to local press while visiting the development which is now around 75 percent finished, with 55 floors of the 75 floors complete.

The development is set to become one of the largest casino resorts in the country. Even though it will have cost several billion dollars to build, Crown Resorts still remains committed to social responsibility. Packer has recently made a AU$5 million donation towards the recent bushfire recovery efforts, which continues to impact the country.

That said, the company is facing some credibility issues. The billionaire declined to comment on ongoing investigations into Crown’s sale to Melco Resorts founder, Lawrence Ho, as well as an inquiry into alleged corrupt practices. Packer has said he is willing to give his full cooperation into investigations if required.
